Summer in a nutshell

This summer seemed to zoom by! I kept meaning to update the blog, but with all the kids at home it seemed there was always something needing my attention sooner. So here it is in a nutshell.

After our vacation we settled back into summer school and baseball games for Harper. His team did a pretty good job this year and were tied for 1st place going into the tournament. They ended up taking 4th place, but he sure had fun playing! We also had the usual rounds of Dentist appointments and orthodontic appointments. Phoenix lost his first tooth. He had to have it pulled by the dentist as another tooth was coming in, and this one wasn't loose at all.
Savannah was a baby sitting magnet and spent her days babysittting or hanging with friends, and then spent a week at girls camp.
Harper helped me around the house by babysitting. Before we knew it July was over, football started for Harper, swimming lessons for 4 of the kids, and MANY afternoons at the pool, library time, custard and movie nights. Before I knew it August was here and we were back to school shopping! We just kept on the go.
Rick was super busy in August due to orientations starting for his school. The build up to the first day of school was intense! We took a short trip to Indiana right before school started. It was great to see Rick's parents and his sister's family and then it was back home for school to start!
So there is a bit of an update and now I plan to update a little more regularly.
