Concerts & Plays

March had lots of activities with the kids. Savannah had a band concert, Phoenix had a play & Harper participated in an orchestra event at the middle school.

Savannah's concert was really good. It is amazing at how much they progress through the years and get to be so good. She is first chair, which is pretty cool for her. She also tried out to be in the concert winds - you only get in through audition. Still waiting to hear about that. The teacher is trying to create great suspense over it!

Phoenix was one of the main parts in the 2nd grade musical. He was one of the 3 musketeers and did a great job memorizing his lines and acting the part. Mom was so lucky to be able to make the costume, and was relieved when it was done! He did a great job and even got to wear a portable microphone attached to him. Except it kept pulling his pants down. :)

Harper was able to participate in an event held at the middle school for all Orchestra students. It was a chance for them to learn and practice with older students and see what it will be like to take orchestra at the middle school. The event lasted all morning long, over lunch and wrapped up with a performance. When Harper got home he was wiped out and actually went and took a nap!!!
