Ward Talent Show

We had our first ever Talent Show at church. Phoenix insisted that he wanted to sing the Star Spangled Banner as his part in the talent show. We were a bit nervous to let him do this and in fact encouraged him to try a less difficult song, like O Beautiful. He wouldn't hear of it! He insisted that this be the one. So he practiced a bit (only a day or two before the show) and mom and dad were feeling VERY nervous about this. Well we were nervous for no reason! He got up there and belted it out. Sang loud and clear and made no mistakes at all. He literally brought down the house! Everyone was cheering so loud when he finished that the MC of the show had him take a bow. Later he had church members coming up to tell him what a great job he did.... his response "I Know". Typical Phoenix fashion. One thing he doesn't lack is confidence!

Savannah also participated in the talent show. She rounded up some girls from church and the made up a dance to a song and did a lip sync. She informed me that it is "synchronized dancing". They did a great job and stayed "in sync" with each other. We had a great time at the talent show. I'm just wishing I would have remembered the cameras. I would love to have this on video to show Savannah's future dates or husband. Luckily Savannah brought her camera.. ..
