The end of summer was a flurry of activity. Besides all the open houses, orientations, and grabbing those last minute school supplies - we did manage to fit in a few "fun" things. Of course we went to the pool A LOT - but we also took a trip to the Betty Brinn Children's museum. The kids had a good time playing with all the cool exhibits. They had everything from train stuff to career info, and a fun theatre area where they were able to dress up in funny costumes and perform for mom. Afterwards we used some of their coupons at Champs restaurant and went out to a sit down meal. Well... you could tell the kids weren't use to that. I mean having to WAIT for your food to be cooked! I think it was a torturous 15 minutes for them and Mom!!
Another fun thing for the little kids was building a fort out of Talia's bed and sleeping in it. They were pretty excited to do it, but I think one night was enough for them. Phoenix said that Marek kept squishing him and he couldn't sleep all night. They were all pretty excited to have their beds back to normal. Talia actually kept the fort up for a bit. :)
