Scout Camps

Both Phoenix and Harper went to scout camps this year. Phoenix to a day camp at our local campground where he got to swim, do some archery and some other fun stuff. Harper went to his first week long scout camp out with the YM in our ward. This year our ward (Rick and the rest of the YM presidency and scout leaders) planned their own scout camp. They went up to northern Wisconsin (on one of the leaders property) and did their own merit badges, cooking, hiking adventures, and pretty much everything. It was a huge success and all the boy had a fabulous time. Probably the best scout camp ever since they didn't have to deal with all the rules they would have had in one run by the Boy Scouts. We sure did miss them while they were gone. I kept busy with the little kids while Savannah baby-sat during the day (at her job). In the evenings we watched a chick flick every night. We even spent one evening in the basement due to a tornado warning, the power went out, and we had at least 8-10 inches of rain! We were happy to have them come back home!
